Mona Sabet

Mona Sabet is a business strategist with a track record of building technology businesses from start to exit. Mona has held executive roles in technology companies of all sizes, applying her expertise in strategy development, transaction structuring, and operational excellence to help companies and their communities achieve their strategic objectives. Based in Silicon Valley and with over 20 years of experience, she accelerates growth through global partnerships, acquisition strategy, community building, and relentless focus on scaling business operations.

Mona’s leadership extends beyond the C-suite, serving on boards and advisory boards for startups and organizations that support them, including Berkeley SkyDeck, Western Morrissette Entrepreneurship, Harvest Management Partners, Lorica Cybersecurity, and Taiga Robotics. She often advises companies on market identification, go-to-market strategy, and acquisition considerations.

Most recently, Mona served as Chief Corporate Strategy Officer at UserTesting, a San Francisco based SaaS company. During her tenure, she built the corporate development, partnerships, and legal teams from the ground up, secured the first set of technology partnerships for the company, closed 4 acquisitions, helped lead the company’s $100M funding round, and took the company public on the New York Stock Exchange. As part of the IPO process, Mona facilitated the diversification of the board by adding three women, developed the company’s ESG strategy, and led a directed share program for UserTesting’s contributor community. In her early days at UserTesting, During her tenure at UserTesting, the company grew from $50M to $200M in revenue and from 250 to 800 employees. Mona negotiated UserTesting’s acquisition, valued at $1.3B, by Thoma Bravo and subsequent merger with a Thoma Bravo portfolio company.

Before UserTesting, Mona served as Managing Director of Tribal Advisors, where she led the sale of startups in the autonomous driving vehicle market, HR tech market, and developer tools market to some of California’s largest technology companies. Prior to that, Mona was Corporate Vice President, Business Development at Cadence Design Systems (NASDAQ: CDNS), where she rebuilt the corporate development team, led multiple acquisitions, and ran strategic transactions and venture investments, delivering tens of millions of dollars in incremental revenue.

In addition to her corporate leadership, Mona is a passionate visionary about inspiring others to play a bigger game. She co-founded ChIPsNetwork.org, a global community for women in tech, law, and policy. Today, ChIPsNetwork serves almost 5000 members across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. She also led the strategy and implementation that took the Grace Hopper conference, the world’s largest annual convention of women technologists, from 8,000 to 15,000 attendees in two years, doubling revenue. In 2012, she founded HiPower, a group of leaders championing executive women who drive big changes, which has grown to include an influential group of nearly 100 women founders and board-ready executives.
